This weekend we celebrate several notable anniversaries related to the pipe organ
- The 100th anniversary of the pipe organ in Auckland Town Hall – recently totally rebuilt by Klais Orgelbau of Germany
- The centenary of the organ in Pitt St Methodist Church, by Auckland builder George Croft and first heard in June 1911
- The Golden Jubilee of ORGANZ (The New Zealand Association of Organists Inc.)
"The King's Birthday" is presented by the Auckland Organists' Association in conjunction with the ORGANZ annual congress, which will attract lovers of the instrument and its music from throughout New Zealand and overseas.
