Organ Week - Internal Organ – Michael Stewart
An opportunity to hear the organ from all areas of the cathedral – inside the organ itself. A number of microphones will be installed inside the organ chamber which will feed seven speakers in the Lady Chapel – providing an immersive ‘surround-sound’ experience.

Presenting an annual recital given by Wellington based organ pupils. The recital is being organised by Richard Apperley, Assistant Organist at the cathedral. An Afternoon Community Event for all Whanganui – Come and Sing your Favourite Hymns, Accompanied by the Collegiate Chapel Choir, Orchestra and Mighty Organ.
Directed by Collegiate’s Nicholas Grigsby, join us in the Collegiate Chapel for an afternoon of community singing – includes many favourite hymns, and a full congregational rendering of Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus – all coached on the afternoon.
Features the Collegiate Chapel Choir, Collegiate 16, Gallery Orchestra and Mighty Pipe-Organ. “Sing Choirs of Angels”, as Whanganui comes together in voice and spirit.
