Description
A two day event celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Wellington Organists' Association, held in various venues around Wellington city.
Sat. 24th October 10:00am - Registration/Morning Tea at St Marks Anglican Church, Basin Reserve
10:30am - Official Opening
10:45am - Ross Wards: 'On Screen – Wellington's forgotton heritage of churches and organs'
11:30am - St Marks organ demonstration and hands-on opportunity
12:00pm - Lunch
1:00pm - Depart for Carillon/National War Memorial
1:30pm - Carillon recital/demonstration of Erben organ at National War Memorial followed by afternoon tea
5:00pm - A light meal at Wellington Cathedral of St. Paul
7:00pm - "The Splendour of Organ and Brass", a public concert at Wellington Cathedral of St. Paul:
"THE SPLENDOUR OF ORGAN AND BRASS"
Featuring WOA organists Paul Rosoman and Judy Dumbleton with
Trust Porirua City Brass Band and members of the National Youth Brass Band
Director Kerry Garrett
Admission: $10, under 12 free (door sales)
Note: Cost of admission included in Jubilee fees.
Fees for full 2-day programme: $120 per person, reduced to $90 if paid by 7th October 2009.
