Auckland’s Town Hall organ has been rebuilt and will be one of the finest in the southern hemisphere. It receives its first performance with orchestra on this very special evening featuring two of the greatest works for organ and orchestra: Poulenc’s Organ Concerto and Saint-Säens’ famous Organ Symphony. At the console is the award-winning City Organist of Birmingham and organist of St Margaret’s Westminster, Thomas Trotter.

Description
Auckland Town Hall, built in December 1911, sits in the very heart of Auckland City.
The pipe organ, the largest in New Zealand, was rebuilt by the firm of Klais Orgelbau and the new organ inaugurated in March 2010.

Parking available in the Civic car park, beneath adjacent Aotea Square - the cost for evenings and weekends is a flat rate. Also, after 6pm parking in neighbouring streets is mostly free although the number of spaces is limited.
