Dr. Hainsworth, Organiste Titulaire at Beziers Cathedral (France), described as "one of New Zeakland's most entertaining classical organists", will perform a programme which will be an “All Organic Musical Banquet”.This should be an entertaining and humorous hour featuring works of Justin, Bach-Vivaldi, Handel, and Couperin for drinks and nibbles and the entree with an anonymous composer as the main course, Mozart and neopolitan delights will be played for dessert and ending with a flourish on Pagani and Gounod. Intrigued?? Bring yourself and your family along for a very entertaining and happy occasion.
Hainsworth studied organ with Ernest Jamieson (St. Mark’s Church, Wellington), Maxwell Fernie (Westminster Cathedral and St. Mary of the Angel’s, Wellington) and Jean Ferrard (Professor at the Conservatoire of Brussels). He graduated with an M.A. in French and B. Mus (organ performance) from Victoria University, Wellington and subsequently completed a Doctorate at the University of Toulouse. During this time he extended his keyboard studies throughout Belgium and France concentrating on French Classical organ and harpsichord music and the symphonic organ repertoire and also developing his research interests in
the fortepiano.
