Hayko Siemens – Concert Organist
A “Toccata” is a display of the organist’s skill and the organ’s power to thrill.
This programme from the European organ tradition includes music by Buxtehude, Bach, Reger, Schumman and Dubois; and celebrates both Hugo Distler and Messaien in their centennial year.
Hayko Siemens performs no fewer than four Toccatas on the striking pipe organ in Auckland Cathedral of the Holy Trinity. Prepare to be well and truly thrilled!

Admission: Adults $20, Concessions $10. Door sales available. Children under 18 years old are free if accompanying a paying adult.
"Majesty and Grace" Sunday Concert. This public concert is part of the ORGANZ Annual Congress 2008, hosted by the Auckland Organists' Association.

About Hayko Siemens
As Organist, Choral and Orchestral Director, German-based musician Hayko Siemens enjoys a coveted reputation throughout Europe.
He has regularly undertaken organ concerts throughout the world. He was the first ever German organist to be invited as “principal artist” to the Melbourne International Festival for Organ and Harpsichord, and has visited New Zealand on two previous occasions. He has made numerous organ recordings including the complete works of César Franck. In 1998 he moved to Munich to assume the prestigious position of Music Director and conductor of the Müncher MottettenChor as well as Musical Director of St Matthäus, the principal Lutheran church in the city.
Hayko Siemens is featured guest artist at the ORGANZ Annual Congress 2008.
