Description

September is National Organ Month in New Zealand. What better way to celebrate than attending a recital in Christ's College Chapel, with Jeremy Woodside performing on 1 of only 4 pipe organs remaining in the city after the February 22 Earthquake.
Jeremy has recently returned from a fundraising tour of the United Kingdom, raising money for the ChristChurch Cathedral rebuild, and performing in venues such as Christ Church Oxford, and Westminster Abbey to almost 900 people.
Performed at this recital will be works by J.S. Bach, Ad Wammes' delightful "Miroirs", Flor Peeters, and Anthony Ritchie's "Pink and White", which tells the story of the eruption of Mt Tarawera and the formation of New Zealand's Pink and White Terraces, a global attraction.
Jeremy will be joined by Lois Johnston (soprano) to perform Petr Eben's evocative and beautiful "Song of Ruth", and also a number of other smaller pieces.
Entry by programme $15 (door sales only)
